CAROLA GREY

Carola Grey was born 1969 near Munich, Germany, and studied music at the Cologne University before moving to New York in 1991. After learning classical piano from age 9 on, she switched to drums on her fourteenth birthday.

Her compositional style is based on hard-bop, but has expanded into rock, latin and funk-influenced jazz. In addition to her solo career, she has performed live for many other musicians including guitarist Leni Stern, rock-group Maria X-Communicada and many american jazz artists touring in Europe.


She has released two albums for Jazzline and the album "Girls Can't Hit" for Lipstick so far:
