- Both parents were musicians
- Started playing guitar at age 7
- Studied classical guitar and later jazz composition (with Jim McNeely and Hal Galper a.o.)
- Lives in New York
- Member of the "East Village Jazz & Rock Coalition", a loose cooperation of musicians
His first major job was at the age of 20 - as guitarist for organist Jack McDuff, who has also discovered George Benson and Pat Martino.
Since then he has worked as live sideman for David Sanborn, Tania Maria, Adam Holzman and many others as well as playing countless studio sessions.
He currently is a steady member of Adam Holzman's "Overdrive" band and leads his own group called "The Herminators" with Rodney Holmes on drums.

Guitar: custom built guitar based on a Fernandez Stratocaster with a neck by ESP, EMG-pickups, Floyd-Rose bridge and medium light guitar strings by D'Addario (starting with .009 for high "e" string)
