Leni Stern - WORDS
LIP 89028-2 (available 24.April.1995)
Words is Leni's seventh album - but her debut as a singer.
She is singing on three tunes, which were co-produced and written by Joy Askew from Peter Gabriels band.
The whole album is more focussed on the main points - the melodic tunes and strong solos - than her earlier albums. But it still features the personal style of Leni Stern - with surprises in the development of melodic lines, ethnic influences from Asia and Africa and a great band.
Most of the songs were recorded and mixed at "Hansahaus" studios after her tour of Europe in spring 1995, where the songs were fine-tuned by the audience response.
