Jochen Rueckert - Introduction

Jazzline JL 11152-2

A few sounds to get an idea of the music (all taken from the solo passges - don't expect the melodies of the standards here:. All of them are Quicktime 3.0 with high compression and together they give a good idea of what to expect from the album:

Drummer Jochen Rueckert lives in New York and Cologne, Germany, and is at the young age of 23 already recognised as one of the best young drummers worldwide. He combines a very driving and unconventional style with very sensitive comping behind soloists. On his first solo album he plays legendary tunes of old jazz legends - but in avery wild way and with electric guitars by two of NYC top guitarists - Kurt Rosenwinckle and Ben Monder.
